Future home improvements are likely to be key to Brisbane Broncos’ hopes of being a premiership contender in 2017.
The Broncos’ new coach, Wayne Bennett, will be in the market for some new homes, with the club set to look at a range of options to boost its future.
The AFL and NRL have also shown interest in building a new stadium, with Bennett set to receive an invitation to visit the Queensland Government’s new $1 billion stadium.
Bennett said the Broncos would make the right decision on a number of fronts.
“We’re a club that’s always looking for opportunities to expand,” he said.
“I’m always going to look to expand in terms of our football programs.
I’ve always been looking for ways to improve the game.”
Our football program, especially in this league, is going to need a lot of improvements and we’ve got a lot to look forward to.
“Bennett has a strong track record in the state of Queensland, having led the club to the 2015 grand final and the 2016 grand final, winning the 2015 State of Origin series.
He is also a key figure in the club’s development program, having been a part of the club for 18 months.”
As a coach, you’re always looking to find the best fit for the club and the best way for us to develop.””
It’s always a balancing act and you’ve got to think long term.”
As a coach, you’re always looking to find the best fit for the club and the best way for us to develop.
“The best place to find that is to find some good homes.”
It’s really important to make the best decision for the future of the football club, and that’s what we’re going to do in the future.
